    Chief Executive Officer

    Before co-founding DuvaSawko, Dr. Duva practiced emergency medicine for 20 years. He also served as vice president and co-owner of Fish Memorial Hospital in DeLand, Florida, helping the hospital attain healthy profits. Injuries from a life-threatening motorcycle accident prevented him from continuing to practice emergency medicine, so he shifted his focus to management, earning a graduate degree in medical management from Tulane University. In addition to his executive role with DuvaSawko, Dr. Duva is COO of Emergency Medicine Professionals, P.A. which has maintained ED contracts in multiple Central Florida hospitals for over 30 years.

    Vice President and
    Chief Information Officer

    Dr. Sawko worked as a computer programming engineer for the U.S. Department of Energy before completing medical school and going on to practice emergency medicine. He became President of Emergency Medicine Professionals in 1991 and co-founded DuvaSawko in 1997. It is Dr. Sawko who created the proprietary software program that has spurred DuvaSawko to its reputation as an industry leader in practice management and reimbursement.

     
  • Jill Reynolds

    Chief Operating Officer

    Ms. Reynolds, a native of Sheffield, England, is a seasoned corporate executive with proven success and experience in the areas of healthcare administration and operations. In addition, she serves in leadership capacities as a volunteer with the American Heart Association and United Way. Ms. Reynolds has served as the Chief Operating Officer for DuvaSawko since 2003, in addition to working in many capacities for the firm since its inception. Her broad range of expertise spans the areas of management, training and staffing, finance, accounting, operations and strategic planning. At DuvaSawko, Jill is responsible for all day to day operations. She has been instrumental in devising and enhancing processes, having gained experience in all those day-to-day operations from the ground up. Jill is the expert in the DuvaSawko process. Her expansive experience uniquely positions her to effectively lead DuvaSawko's 118 employees.

     
  • Shawn Gallagher
    Shawn Gallagher
    Chief Finance Officer

    Born in Westchester county New York, Mr. Gallagher graduated from Syracuse University in 1989 with distinction. Mr. Gallagher successfully oversaw the accounting and financial departments of several multifaceted companies, nursing homes and hospitals for 13 years before joining DuvaSawko in 2001. During his tenure as CFO for DuvaSawko, Mr. Gallagher has been noted for his expertise in financial forecasting and client revenue projections. He has been instrumental in guiding the financial health of both DuvaSawko and EMPros, the emergency physician group managed by DuvaSawko principals, to unprecedented levels of growth while remaining debt free. Mr. Gallagher has been heavily involved with company's land purchases, construction, leasing and sale of two 47,000 square foot buildings with affiliated ownership. He heads up the financial team for all group purchases and walk-in Clinic acquisitions throughout the Volusia County area.

     
  • Nettie McFarland
    Nettie McFarland, RHIT, CCS-P, CHC
    Coding and Compliance Manager

    12 years in outpatient coding
    4 years in hospital HIM department
    10 years in HIM/coding education

    Ms. McFarland is a nationally recognized and sought after expert in her field. Nettie is an experienced Coder, Manager, Instructor and Trainer and holds RHIT, CCS-P and CHC certifications. These credentials demonstrate expertise in Health Information Management, Physician Coding and Health Care Compliance. She has taught Allied Health courses at Daytona State College and for the Flagler County School District Adult Education Program. She also provides documentation seminars for physician clients of DuvaSawko. She has been active with American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) on the national, state and regional levels for many years and has served in various officer positions including President of the Ocean Regional Health Information Management Association in 2000. Ms. McFarland has been with the company for the past 12 years.

     
  • Tim Branz
    Tim Branz
    Director of Information Technology

    Mr. Branz received his Bachelors from Stetson University and his Master of Computer Science from Nova Southeastern University. Tim has experience in small, medium, and large corporate information system environments. Mr. Branz began his career in 1998 by assisting DuvaSawko create its first corporate network and microcomputer technologies. He supported Price Waterhouse Cooper's (PWC) national data center relocation project from Forest Hills, NY to Tampa, FL, focusing on infrastructure continuity for the US and Caribbean Islands. After completing the Data Center move, he transitioned into PWC's Global Technology Division, working in the Network Operations Center as a Team Lead, focusing on infrastructure outages and disaster recovery. Tim returned to DuvaSawko in 2001 as a System Administrator and Software Developer. He remains active and instrumental in DuvaSawko's daily proprietary software development and technologies tailored to fit and scale to each client's needs.

    Director of Marketing and Local Business Development

    Maureen has been with DuvaSawko since 2004.  She is an accomplished and motivated healthcare executive with over twenty-five years experience in the areas of sales and marketing, communications, business and economic development, government affairs, strategic planning, recruitment and public relations.  Maureen Develops all New Local Business for DuvaSawko and EMPros, the emergency physician group managed by DuvaSawko principals. In addition, she is responsible for Marketing and Public Relations for DuvaSawko, EMPros, Urgent Care Clinics, as well as Cornerstone Exec Suites.




     
  • Larry Achler
    Larry Achler
    New Client & Recruitment Manager

    Mr. Achler Received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degrees from Florida State University in 1985 and 1988 respectively. He has over 20 years experience in the Healthcare Management industry. His vast experience includes the ownership and sale of a nationally recognized Emergency Physician Workforce Management firm in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. Mr. Achler has successfully developed the Recruitment Departments of several private groups and hospitals. Mr. Achler has consulted for a number of independent groups in the areas of business development for the past 15 years. Mr. Achler joined the team of DuvaSawko in April of 2009 to concentrate full time on Business Development.

     
  • Glenn Hettmansperger
    Glenn Hettmansperger
    Director of Human Resources

    Mr. Hettmansperger entered service to his country in the United States Air Force in 1975. He served his first fifteen years as a Military Policeman, responsible for protecting multi-million dollar nuclear missiles and aircraft, in addition to providing law enforcement protection to military families. His last ten years were served as a First Sergeant, responsible for the health and welfare of up to 450 airmen. He was hand-picked to deploy all over the world and was recognized consistently throughout his career as being the best in his field. He retired from the military in August of 2000 and joined DuvaSawko in February, 2001. Glenn planned, organized, and implemented the Human Resources Department at DuvaSawko, where he remains at the helm today.
