Our founder, Dr. Sawko, VP and CIO of DuvaSawko, along with DuvaSawko’s Director of Information Technology Tim Branz, and 10 other members of Dr. Sawko’s extended family are taking part in a trek to Africa starting today to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. The climb is to bring awareness to those suffering from cancer and raise money for MeStrong. Please visit the link below to PRWeb to read about the climb, track the group, and see photos as they post them. You can also find a link to make a donation if you’d like to help the cause!
We are so proud of our CIO, Dr Bill Sawko, and his family and friends, who are braving the elements of Kilimanjaro next month in an effort to raise money for #mestrong, a nonprofit organization that offers financial assistance to Central Florida residents who are battling cancer!
We are growing, and looking for others who are ready to grow along with us!

DuvaSawko employees shared the gift of life, all while glamming it up on the red carpet on Thursday, August 11th. DuvaSawko is a proud supporter of OneBlood, whose mission is “To enhance the health and well-being of others through our work with blood and stem cell products and by facilitating scientific research.” Thank you to all the generous donors and thank you to OneBlood for all you do for our community!
DuvaSawko was excited and honored to help our local United Way of Volusia-Flagler County and the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central FL on this year’s Day of Action on June 21st! Our community is coming together to help stamp out hunger! United Way of Volusia-Flagler County – Facebook
Each year, Dr Amy Hall with Daytona State College organizes the Volusia Basket Brigade, which is a community-wide event to provide an entire Thanksgiving meal to struggling families in Volusia County. DuvaSawko employees were thrilled to help with the event by providing 17 baskets full of everything needed to make a memorable holiday event for these families this year. We appreciate the generosity of our employees, and of Dr Hall for organizing such a beneficial cause for our community.
DuvaSawko participated again this year in the American Heart Association’s HeartWalk at the Daytona International Speedway on Friday, September 11. Our dedicated employees raised close to $5,000 for the AHA! The company is donating a matching $5,000, bringing our total raised to almost $10,000! We are proud to support this organization, which helps save and improve the lives of millions of Americans living with heart disease, stroke or a cardiovascular condition by providing research, education and emergency care. If you would like to join us in helping the AHA, please visit our 2015 AHA HeartWalk page. Thank you!
Duvasawko proudly supports our community through our involvement with great organizations such as the United Way. This Spring we exceeded the previous year’s employee donations and continue to make a difference in our community. Funding went to United Way to support the Free Dial 2-1-1 Information and Services line, Prescription Discount Card Program, Easter Seals and multiple other partner agencies. The United Way provides assistance for returning military members, seniors with disabilities, and quality afterschool programs (just to name a few).
On Thursday, January 15, the “Big Red Bus” visited DuvaSawko and its employees for our annual blood drive for Florida’s OneBlood non-profit organization, which provides safe, available, and affordable blood to 213 hospitals throughout Florida and surrounding states. DuvaSawko encourages employee wellness, and employees that donated also received a wellness check up, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and iron & cholesterol screenings.
